Mari Winsor, the star’s very own Pilates instructor, recently gave us the 4-1-1 on the exercises Miley does to keep her figure in shape. The moves, which are featured on Winsor’s Lower Body Pilates DVD available on GaiamTV, consists of exercising the waist, the glutes, the buttocks, and the inner and outer thighs to ensure a maximum full-impact workout. According to trainer, Miley practices these moves six times a week at her studio in Los Angeles.

How does Miley get those amazing abs? In Pilates, every exercise that you do is focused on your abs, or as we call it in Pilates, your powerhouse. There are specific exercises where you might feel a little more of a burn in that area but you are constantly using your abs to maintain control of your body’s movement. The one-hundred the double leg stretch and the criss-cross are all crucial to sculpt your abs.
Lie flat on your back and bring your knees into your chest making sure that the lower back is pressing into the floor. Palms facing down lift your head and shoulders up off the mat. Take your arms straight down by your side, palms facing down. Straighten your legs to a 45-degree angle rotating your legs open from the hip squeezing your legs and heels together. If you have a bad back, bend your knees a little. Breathe in through your nose for a count of five then out through your nose for a count of five until you reach 100. As you’re breathing, pump your arms up and down 100 times keeping them next to your body and parallel to the floor.
Double Leg Stretch:
Lying flat on your back on the mat bring both knees in to your chest. You should be hugging your knees by holding on to your ankles with both hands. Lift your head and shoulders off the mat keeping your shoulders down. Your head should be relatively close to your knees. Imagine yourself being tucked in to a magicians box. Be as tiny as you can be. Stretch your legs out to a 45 degree angle from the body, legs together and slightly rotated from the hip so you can squeeze your heels together, as you extend your arms fully straight by your head. Keep you upper torso stable, tummy pulled in shoulders down and lower back on the mat. As you move both arms and legs in the opposite direction, inhale. Exhale as you use your tummy to draw the legs and arms with control back to the original position in the magicians box. Repeat this ten times. Each time you extend your arms and legs away from your center, give yourself a challenge and try to reach and extra inch longer to create more length in the body and more work in the core.
Lie flat on your back. Your hands go behind your head with one hand on top of the other, elbows open, shoulders down. Lift your head and shoulders up off the mat as your right knee comes into your chest and your left leg is extended out at a 45-degree angle. Twist in your waist taking your left elbow towards your right knee. Remember to twist from the waist rather than just moving your elbow towards the knee. As you twist to one side hold the position for three counts then switch to the other side for three counts. Do 10 reps.
The workout in my new Lower Body Pilates DVD encompasses what I refer to as the “rear view”. Often times when we look at ourselves in the mirror, we look at ourselves from the front, from the side, but very rarely do we look at what is behind us. This is a view that is most commonly seen by everyone else, so my thought was to make a workout encompassing everything my clients have ever requested from the waist down: The waist, the hips, the gluts, the buttocks the inner and the outer thighs. If this workout is done without stopping, it could be deemed as a total body workout and cardio as well. If weight loss is your main goal, don’t forget to go on a diet plan along with the workout. In addition to dropping a few pounds, you will definitely lose inches and notice the toning in your muscles.

Miley Cyrus refrains from wearing red carpet gowns with a train as she ends up having to buy them because everyone has “put their heel” through it.
The songstress turned heads at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday wearing a cleavage-baring Jean Paul Gaultier jacket, which left little to the imagination. Miley teamed the risqué look with Jacquie Aiche jewels and monochrome Christian Louboutin heels.
She revealed why she opted for the more structured thigh-skimming look.
“It’ll happen on the red carpet. That’s why my dad isn’t here right now because he always steps on my dress. So no longer do we walk carpets together,” she deadpanned in an interview with Access Hollywood.
“There’s always a frickin’ hole in it when you’re on the red carpet. You leave here having to buy the thing because everyone has put their heel in the back of your train. I’ve learned!”
Miley has explained the inspiration behind her different look. The stunning star relies on some trusty accessories to amp up her wardrobe choices.
“I just thought I love white on a white carpet. I thought it would be fun. I like that it’s a little boyish but still feminine,” she said, before explaining her gold necklace accessory.
“This chain literally never comes off. I work out in this.”
Miley has been cutting a slimmer figure of late. The 19-year-old star has explained her fitness routine.
“I love Pilates – it’s physical and mental health, that are obviously very important. You obviously get a good workout but mentally it’s just really nice to go in there and completely meditate. It’s you one hour of no craziness. It’s awesome,” she said.
Miley Cyrus keeps it cute and casual as she takes her neighbor’s car for a spin on Monday (May 21) in Toluca Lake, Calif.
After parking her neighbor’s ride, the 19-year-old entertainer ran back to her own car.

During an interview on Lifetime’s The Conversation With Amanda de Cadenet,” when asked about her the reception she’s received in the past for provocative attire, Miley said:
“I take it as a compliment. Thank you for thinking I’m sexy!”
Cyrus adds that she was shocked by the backlash when she started donning skimpier outfits, highlighted by outrage over a Vanity Fair photo shoot in 2008.
“People are so scared of seeing a woman being like, ‘This is who I am and you’re not going to change it,’” she said.
That attitude also led to the release of “Can’t Be Tamed” and its accompanying, R-rated music video.
“Even just the title of that, for a woman to say she can’t be tamed… for a woman in the world with my face saying ‘I can’t be tamed’ when that’s really all people wanted to do, I think proves how sexist people still really are,” she believes.

Here are Carmindy’s five tips for getting this look:
* Add more definition to eyebrows by feathering on a brow pencil along the natural arch and extending them out slightly.
* Use a champagne colored highlighter under the brows, on the lids, on the inside corners of the eyes and on tops of cheekbones.
* A bronze peach blush defines cheeks from the apples back to the hairline.
* On the eyes: full set of false lashes, black liner on top and brown shadow in the crease.
* On the lips: nude/ pink/brown lipstick topped with gloss.
Here’s Rita’s hairstyle how-to:
* On wet hair spray hair with the Angelo David Long and Strong Detangler, followed with the Angelo David Sea Silk Styling Mousse to prepare for styling.
* Begin blow drying hair by sections using the Angelo David Round Brush, then create a deep side part.
* Run fingers through hair to create a messy feel, then sweep hair to one side. Take front section of hair and create small loose waves with a curling iron.
* With the rest, divide hair into two sections. Take a small portion of hair from one side then bring it to the other, repeating this process back and forth. It is ok if hair falls out of the braid or there are knots and bumps; We want the effortless feel.
* Continue braiding until you reached desired length, then secure the braid with an elastic. Back comb the braid with a brush lightly for a textured look.
* Finish the look with a great hairspray, like L’Oreal Tex Infinium Professional, for a firm hold without creating stiffness.
